This event pushed our crew’s precision, stamina, and technical skill to the limit, as we executed a full production setup and a multi-hour live show in record time.

Objective

Kwokman Productions aimed to deliver a high-quality broadcast for the Canelo Alvarez vs. Jaime Munguia fight blending captivating storytelling with advanced technology and creative flair.

Production Highlights:

13-Hour Venue Turnaround: The night before the fight, T-Mobile Arena hosted a late NHL playoff game, leaving our crew with just 13 hours to tear down the hockey setup and prepare for a world-class boxing broadcast. We began load-in at 1:00 am on show day, turning the venue over by morning.
Full Scope Broadcast Delivery: We provided a complete production solution—technical management, camera ops, audio integration, EVS, and stage crews—for a 6.5-hour continuous program aired live on Amazon Prime.

High-Stakes Coordination: Our team worked side-by-side with PBC staff, Amazon producers, and venue ops through the night to ensure every camera feed, audio cue, and on-air element was aligned for a global audience.

Challenges & Solutions:

Overnight Setup: With no margin for error, we operated on a split-shift schedule, rotating key departments to stay fresh while maintaining momentum overnight.
Venue Transition Logistics: We navigated a fast conversion from ice to ring, rerouting power, clearing space for production trucks, and adjusting lighting positions—while rehearsals ran parallel.

Live Show Execution: Even with limited prep time, we ensured a technically tight and visually polished broadcast, managing real-time replays, interviews, and multilingual feeds throughout the evening.
