Delivering a Broadcast Built for the Moment
On December 25, 2024, Netflix took on the challenge of streaming two NFL Christmas Day games. This project aimed to combine the scale of live sports with Netflix’s reputation for cinematic quality. Kwokman Productions was a key partner in making this happen. We worked closely with CBS Sports, NFL Media, NEP Group, and EverWonder Studio to create a production that set a new standard for live events.
Meeting the Challenge
This project came with high expectations. Netflix wanted a broadcast that captured the energy of live football while delivering the polished look their audience expects. The event also had to reach a global audience with multi-language options and a seamless viewing experience. Coordinating multiple production teams and integrating cinematic visuals into live-action coverage added to the complexity.

How We Made It Happen
Kwokman Productions handled the technical and operational backbone of the event. We oversaw everything from cameras and satellite feeds to scenic production and halftime show integration. Our team managed logistics, budgets, and workflows to keep the production on track and running smoothly.
For the halftime show, featuring Beyoncé, we provided scenic production and managed the integration of cinematic cameras and lenses. This ensured the performance maintained its live energy while delivering a visually stunning experience. We also coordinated between Netflix, CBS Sports, and NEP Group to unify the broadcast’s technical and creative elements.
To reach a global audience, we implemented remote workflows that allowed multi-language commentary. This approach ensured fans worldwide could enjoy the event in their own language without losing quality or timing.

The Outcome
The Netflix Christmas Gameday NFL broadcast attracted nearly 65 million viewers, making it the most-streamed NFL event in U.S. history. Beyoncé’s halftime show alone drew over 27 million viewers at its peak. These numbers demonstrate the success of blending live sports with cinematic production values.
The broadcast set a new benchmark for live event coverage. It showed how cinematic techniques could enhance live sports and how global audiences could connect through seamless production and thoughtful design.

What’s Next
Kwokman Productions thrives on challenges like these. We approach every project with a focus on precision, creativity, and reliability. Whether it’s live sports, entertainment, or complex technical events, we bring the experience and skill to make it happen. Let’s work together to create something remarkable.
